From one pond to seven divisions
The founder of Blackman Enterprises is a Ghanaian entrepreneur who believed in building things from the ground up. What started with a catfish farm grew — division by division, year by year — into a diverse enterprise touching farming, construction, services, and retail.
Every division you see today was born from a real need in the community and a commitment to meeting it well. Blackman doesn't cut corners. The blocks are strong. The fish are fresh. The pork is real. That reputation was earned — and it's protected.
It started with a single catfish pond — fingerlings, patience, and a belief that fish farming could be a real business. The first harvests sold well, and confidence grew.
With catfish running well, tilapia was added to serve a wider market. The block factory opened around the same time to meet the region's growing construction demand.
The pig farm came next — a larger operation from the start. The pork shop brought the product directly to customers. The cement shop rounded out the construction supply side.
The washing bay filled a practical gap — a reliable vehicle wash. The dwarf coconut farm brought a long-term agricultural investment into the portfolio.
Blackman Enterprises stands as a fully operating multi-division business — proudly Ghanaian, built by one family, serving thousands of customers across the region.
Our values
Every product we sell meets a standard we set for ourselves, not just for customers.
We serve the people around us — jobs, supply, and service that flow back into our community.
We don't take shortcuts. The blocks hold, the fish are healthy, the work is done right — every time.
